Personalized Video Campaign QA Checklist: Review Before You Generate

By BHuman Editorial TeamPublished

Use this practical checklist to catch data, mapping, media, and review issues before launching a personalized video campaign. Includes BHuman-specific checks and a small-batch review step.

Start with the template and recipient data

Before you generate a campaign, check that your video template, recipient data, and personalization fields agree. Review a few sample rows first, then check the full batch for missing or unsuitable values.

  • Confirm the template has a source video and at least one variable.
  • Check that your CSV or spreadsheet has clear headers and one recipient per row.
  • Remove or correct rows with missing values for fields the video needs.
  • Confirm that each value contains only the replacement text—not words already fixed in the script. For example, if the template says “Hi” before {first_name}, enter “Erada,” not “Hi Erada.”

Check variable names and mappings

A variable links a changing part of your video—such as spoken text or a call-to-action URL—to a value for each recipient. Keep names clear and stable, then verify that each one points to the intended data field.

  • Use readable, consistent names such as first_name, company, or cta_url.
  • Check that every required template variable maps to the correct source column or field.
  • Look for blank mappings, missing columns, and duplicate or similarly named fields.
  • Use separate variables for different kinds of information; don’t use a vague name like url for unrelated destinations.
  • Keep variable values short enough to fit the intended spoken segment, and review pronunciation and timing.

Validate media and campaign settings

If your campaign uses personalized backgrounds or other row-specific media, check that the needed asset is present for each row. Review campaign settings against what the template and data actually support.

  • For Mini mode, check that every personalized moment has background coverage; the system may add a generic background where coverage is missing.
  • If you use timed background segments, confirm each row has a valid URL or uploaded asset for every segment.
  • If the campaign uses manual audio because voice cloning is disabled, make sure the required audio is recorded.
  • Check subtitles and any personalized text against the transcript and variable values.
  • Confirm generation is available for the account and that enough quota remains.

Generate a small test and review the output

A mapping can look right in a spreadsheet but sound or appear wrong in a video. Generate a few test rows before processing the full campaign, then review the actual outputs for content and timing.

  • Check names, company details, and other personalized text for accuracy and natural pronunciation.
  • Review timing, lip sync, and subtitles where relevant.
  • Confirm links and personalized media point to the intended destination or asset.
  • Watch for repeated words caused by including fixed script text in a variable value.
  • Inspect failed or needs-review results before deciding whether to retry or change the source data.

Make the launch decision

Launch only when the test videos look right and the source rows are ready. If a problem appears, fix the underlying data, mapping, or template and test again rather than sending a flawed batch.

  • Proceed when required fields are populated, mappings are correct, and test videos pass review.
  • Pause if a required field is missing, a personalized moment lacks needed media, or output needs review.
  • After generation, monitor statuses and check the resulting video links or downloadable assets before sharing.

How this fits a BHuman campaign

BHuman campaigns connect an AI Studio template to a data source, map its variables to columns or fields, and submit rows for video generation. Generation runs asynchronously, so you can monitor results and their statuses after submitting the campaign.

For the documented setup, start with a ready template, choose a viewing mode, load campaign data, map variables, configure any extras, and generate. Data options include CSV or Excel, as well as supported connected or API-based workflows.
