This is the Home Screen. To make an AI video, you need to start with a template. This is a base video in which we will change what you’re saying to personalize it. As you see there are 3 options to get started. You can:
1. Record a template video
2. Use a template from another user, including influencers and celebrities
3. Upload a template video that you've filmed previously.
If you ever need to get back to this screen, just click the Home icon at any point.
Folders help you keep things organized. Folders can contain an unlimited amount of projects, called Instances. You can use folders to organize Instances by client, project, or anything else. To make a folder, click the + icon in the folder section. You can rename a folder by double clicking it. In order to delete a folder, first delete all Instances within it.
At the top left, you'll find the App Switcher. You can use this to go between the AI Studio, Settings, Upgrade section, or the Feed (we'll get to this later).
When filming templates yourself, there are 2 rules to follow:
1. Be at least 5 feet from the camera.
2. Make sure you leave pauses around your variables. For example, “Hi name, my name is Don”, and not “Hi name my name is Don”.
Think of variables as "blocks of sound" that start and end with a natural brief pause, which you can personalize. For example, "Hi Name" in "Hi Name, how are you?" is a variable. If you would like to replace this variable you should replace it with a similar block of sound, like, "Hi Susan."
Here's an example of good variable placement (variables bolded).
"Hey Name, how've you been? I'd love to catch up and reconnect. How's Company? I'd love to talk to you about a new product, which has been changing the game, especially in Industry."
Breaking it down, we can see that this follows the rules for variables.
[start of video] Hey Name, [natural pause] how've you been? I'd love to catch up and reconnect. [natural pause] How's Company? [natural pause] I'd love to talk to you about a new product, which has been changing the game, [natural pause] especially in Industry. [end of video]"
You would replace these variables with audio that says: "Hi Jason", "How's Apple?", and "especially in tech."
Hit the stop button to stop a recording. You can also upload templates by clicking the upload button from the Home screen.
Actors tell our technology who is in the video. If there are multiple people creating videos for your team make sure to create separate actor profiles for each individual. If you are the only person using your account, don't worry about this!
Here, you’ll see that we wrote down what was said during the recording. This is where we create our variables, to replace the parts of our video we want to personalize. Select a phrase you want to change, such as “Hi Name”.
Now, once again, variables need to be surrounded by pauses. So it will only let you highlight words that contain pauses around them. Once you highlight a variable, give it a name, like "first name", and then click save. If you need to edit or delete a variable, just click on it and press Edit, and Delete.
Once you’ve selected your variables, click Next.
Adding your data
In order to generate personalized videos, we need to have some data to know what to personalize. There are 3 ways to add data:
1. Connect an integration to generate unique videos based on triggers
2. Import a CSV file to generate videos on demand
3. Start with a blank spreadsheet to generate videos on demand
Click "Connect your source" to open the integrations window. You can find any app you’d like here and, through Zapier, connect it to generate videos whenever a certain trigger happens. This is really where BHuman shines! This enables you to send personalized videos to your audience the moment they take action, meaning you catch them when momentum is highest and they're most likely to convert.
Think of this like an Excel or Google Sheets, with some magic built inside. Our column header contains the variable we created in the last step, so that our AI knows which data to replace which variable with.
Underneath that column header, we can add our data. For example, if our header is first name, we can add names. Like John, Allison, Lisa, and so on. You can also add in non-variable columns like email, phone number, or anything else you need.
Once you add in data for your variables, you need to ensure they have the audios required to generate. Here you have 2 options. You can either record them manually by clicking the microphone button, or you can click Generate First Names to clone your voice and we’ll attempt to make you say “Hi -Name-” for each row. Sometimes we can’t generate you saying every name, so in this case you’ll need to record it manually. Once you record or generate something, it will save reappear automatically in the future, so you only have to do this once.
Once you have all your data recorded, click Generate Videos to start processing.
Processing your videos
Once you click Generate Videos, you'll need to wait a few minutes to get your results, depending on the amount of videos you're trying to generate. It gets quicker as you scale. As a benchmark, 1 video takes 2 minutes to generate, and 1,000 videos takes about 35 minutes to generate.
Getting your results
Awesome! Your videos have generated. Congrats. You can see them here in the spreadsheet. If you’re ready to start sending these, open the window at the bottom of your screen to download a CSV file containing your results.
This is the template store, here you’ll find templates from other users which you can use. This means there’s no filming or recording to be done, all you have to do is insert your data or connect an integration. You’ll also find your previous uploads and recordings in the My Uploads tab.
You can find all billing info, usage, upgrade plans, and edit your profile here.
Sending your videos
How and where you send your videos is entirely up to you! Our videos can be sent over email, SMS, Linkedin messenger, Instagram DM, and so much more. There are thousands of automation tools and CRMs you might use, but the process for sending these is always the same in principle. You are simply uploading the data, with the video links included, to your tool of choice. The "video" column with the Vimeo is another "tag" or "field", just like First Name or City Name might be. You can reference it in your template by calling the [video] tag, which will automatically embed it in the message.
